HOW to DOWN-SIZE & SEND PICTURES by EMAIL the ROUGH but EASY WAY |
This will ONLY WORK if you are using Windows XP or VISTA and will also ONLY WORK for Jpeg Files It will NOT give quite as good Quality Images as the Longer Ways |
If your image File is anything other than Jpeg, open it in a Photo Editor and Save a Copy as a Jpeg.
Then use that Jpeg for this procedure.
Name or Re-name that Jpeg in the form of
"mee-TITLE"
"mee" are your initials in lower case and "TITLE" is the picture Title in Capitals.
It does not matter what size the Jpeg is to start with, the Jpeg itself will not be changed in any way, and will remain in its original position in your Folders. |
Go to the Folder where you have saved the Jpeg File. 1. Select, (or Highlight), it. |
2. In the "File and Folder Tasks" Panel on the Left Hand Side Click on "Email this File"
The Dialogue Box shown below will appear. |
3. Select "Make all my pictures smaller" 4. Click on "Show More Options" to get the Size choices. 5. Select "Small" fits in a 640 by 480 window Click on OK |
After a slight delay, an Email message with some relevant wording, and with a Jpeg Image File attached, will appear.
The File should be named like - mee-TITLE.Jpeg - and its size should also show in Kb and must be under 200Kb.
Once these have been checked, it may be addressed and sent in the normal way. |
